::::WHAT'S THE BUZZ:::: (All the latest happenings with the band.) - Updated 25/03/08

**IMPORTANT NEWS** - WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING YOU ASK?.... Well, it's that time folks......HJD's as the current line-up will be calling it a day with just (3) more shows to say goodbye!

As some of you may know, our illustrious frontman Mr Hank Ferguson has decided to depart Australia for the land of Lager and Sausage, that's right he's headed to Berlin, Germany. He has come to some crossed roads in life and felt a change was necessary, no nasty band break-up or fall out with anyone just something he had to do. So in saying this, it was decided that without Hank, the band as it currently exists should bid farewell. Now although Hank has absconeded to distant shores and at such short notice we felt it wasn't right to leave our fans dumped and disheartened. So three final shows were already planned and booked to allow the three remaining Jalopy Demons to go out with a bang, so to speak. We also decided that the Jalopy Demons works so much better as a 4 piece that we searched the land far and wide (well, we looked as far as Frankston, Victoria actually) and with very little begging needed, found that our very good friend and well-established Rock-a-billy singer in his own right, Mr Kieron McDonald from 'Flatfoot Shakers' fame was more than happy to jump in to help us out.

So after some discussion and possibly a few ales, it was decided......we would continue with these final shows and between the incredible vocal talents of both Dave and Kieron, we would not disappoint our HJD fans. We will be performing most of our tunes from the recently released 'Going Straight' (now to become a collectors item for sure....hehehe), as well as a hopped up, glass packed selection of some of the best Rock-a-billy cover tunes as belted out by Kieron and Dave. So don't miss this one-time special event, not to be repeated anytime soon at these following locations.......

So we hope to see you all soon at one of these final shows, once again we must thank all those who have supported the HJDs over the 12 year span and we have appreciated your dedication and generosity for our album purchase. Dave, Andrew and Tyron would like to wish Hank all the best for his adventures overseas and hope he re-establishes himself with some fantastic fellow musicians to take Europe by storm. Who knows, one day we may all meet up again.

Following our successful Melbourne Launch both at the St.Kilda Bowls Club and at the Route 66 in-store (photos to come on the website soon), the HJDs are now busy planning and preparing assaults interstate. We will definately be targeting N.S.W. and QLD in 2008 with the possibility of other states to follow, so be sure to check back on regular occassions to find out the latest updates on these tours. If all goes to plan (all fingers are crossed) we should be hitting N.S.W. in late September and QLD sometime in October but as soon as venues and dates are locked in we'll let you all know.
